Reema Sarin is surely one of a kind. Born and brought up Delhi, her interests almost seem unreal. Currently the AVP at APP Labs, she moved to Hyderabad in 2005 as the Marketing Director with the Intelligroup. A year later she went back to Delhi and took up brand consulting for luxury like Lamborghini, Frazer and Haws and Bentley, until she came back to Hyderabad last year to head AppLabs.

This is just the beginning! She has a Bachelors degree in Spanish and often traveled to Spain where she managed to do some studies. In 1993 she moved to New York and worked in the Public Relations department of the UN. How did she manage to wedge fitness into this packed schedule? “It evolved alongside.

I was always a sporty person. Running, gymnastics, basketball… name it and I was part of it. In 1985, a US company called US Shape introduced aerobics in India. At 16, I was among the first batch of professionals trained in aerobics in India. I got obsessed about fitness and started teaching,” she elaborates. Whenever Reema found the time, she kept upgrading herself. She trained in New York with Bally’s Jack Lalane and with the California Fitness Group in Singapore and Australia. With so many sides to her, how does she introduce herself? “As both a fitness instructor and a corporate woman. But fitness is my passion and aerobics gives me a high.” Reema also has had her share of fame and fun. “I did small character roles in Ekta Kapoor serials like K Street Pali Hill, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabi Bahu Thi.”

Reema soon plans to set up her own fitness outfit in the city.
